Prince DID NOT WRITE "Stand Back." In a Dec. 2010 radio interview, Prince clarified his contributions to the track - he programmed the drum machines for Stevie, who was struggling with the new technology. Prince said that Stevie played him a completed demo (Stevie was the sole composer of the music and lyrics. She said she was inspired to write the song after hearing "Little Red Corvette) and that spent about 45 minutes with her, a fact that she has verified. Stevie, being the coolest rock chick in history, wanted to give Prince 50% of the publishing on the song, but Prince - also being very cool - said 'No' because he acknowledged that he didn't write (or even play on) the track. Crediting Prince as a composer of this song is a common mistake, but still a MISTAKE!
